On October 10, 2024, a meeting was held at the State Association "Turkmen Atlary" with the participation of the Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Horse Breeding, Yue Gaofeng, the Vice-Rector of Ningxia University of China, Jiao Saoja, and a lecturer from Peking University, Zhang Mu.
At the meeting, the Director General of the State Association "Turkmen Atlary," Akhmet Berdiyev, and the Rector of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, Pygy Baýramdurdyyev, warmly welcomed the guests, congratulating Yue Gaofeng, the Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Horse Breeding and a member of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Association, as well as Vice-Rector Jiao Saoja on receiving the jubilee medal "300 Years of Magtymguly Pyragy." They wished success in further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various areas of horse breeding and in popularizing the glory of Akhal-Teke horses worldwide.
The esteemed guests expressed their pride in receiving this high-state award. They assured that they would make every effort to contribute significantly to developing cultural and equestrian ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, proposals were made for joint scientific research on the genetics of Akhal-Teke horses for breeding purebred Akhal-Teke horses, as well as conducting selection work on a scientific basis within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding between the State Association "Turkmen Atlary" and the Chinese Association of Horse Breeding. Additionally, opportunities for establishing mutual cooperation in the field of science and education between the Agricultural University of the People's Republic of China and the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev were discussed.
The guests noted that they plan to hold Turkmen Culture Days in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, as well as organize a beauty contest for Akhal-Teke horses and a presentation of a book translated into Chinese of the poetry collection of Magtymguly Pyragy.
During the meeting, participants wished Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who are developing relations between Turkmenistan and China, good health, long life, and success in all their endeavors.
