In the Year of International Peace and Trust, Neutral Turkmenistan is consistently developing fruitful relations with countries around the world in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The visit of our Hero Arkadag to the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 16-17 was also an important event that will contribute to further promoting mutual cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
During his visit, our National Leader visited the cities of Fuzuli and Shusha in Azerbaijan. Horse races were held in the past on the Dzhidyr plain located in the city of Shusha. Horse enthusiasts from all over Azerbaijan and abroad gathered in the Dzhidyr plain to watch them. When our Hero Arkadag and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived there, show performances by the horsemen of the friendly country were staged. There, as a sign of high respect, the National Leader of Turkmen people was presented with a four-year-old red horse named Dostluk. This horse, bred in the mountainous region, is of the Karabakh breed, which is widespread in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Its main feature is that it has only one color, red. We were also able to witness these historical events that glorified the traditions of friendship and brotherhood between the two peoples.
During the visit, we held meetings with Allahverdi Israfilov, director and artistic director of the Sea Breeze circus, Nahid Agayev, director of the Baku State Circus, and Elchin Guliyev, head of the Equestrian Sports Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in equestrian and circus arts, and to exchange experiences. We toured the complex of the Equestrian Sports Federation located in Baku and got acquainted with the work being done there. In turn, we told our Azerbaijan colleagues about the centuries-old experience of our people in equestrian art, the information described in the wonderful books written by our Hero Arkadag dedicated to our Akhalteke horses, and the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev, which operates in the city of Arkadag and is the only higher educational institution in the world specializing in equestrian sports, established through the efforts of the National Leader.
It should be noted that the academy trains highly educated specialists who will continue the centuries-old traditions of our people in raising and training legendary Akhalteke horses, and who will make a worthy contribution to the development of the industry in the new historical era, strengthening fruitful relations with foreign partners, and increasing the fame of winged horses. The establishment of the State Equestrian Circus and Equestrian Complex named after "Gorogly" in the framework of the new city, along with the International horse breeding Academy, testifies to the integrated approach to work in this area in our country. We were very pleased to hear that our colleagues from the friendly country were very impressed by the Turkmen national equestrian games.
Our Hero Arkadag, who values the pride of our people, the Akhalteke horses, have been paying special attention to further developing relations with countries around the world in the field of horse breeding in recent years. The regular visit of our delegation to the Republic of Azerbaijan was one of the vivid examples of this. We would like to express our gratitude to the National Leader of Turkmen people and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the opportunities created to establish active cooperation in the field of horse breeding and to spread the glory of our Akhalteke horses to the world.
