From May 26 to June 1, 2024, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and the equestrian coach of the academy Aman Byashimov of International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev Seyitmyrat Atayev established cooperation between International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev and Asbury University of the United States and held meetings with representatives of this university and they were on a work visit to Wilmore, Kentucky, USA from May 26 to June 1, 2024.
On May 26, 2024, key figures from Asbury University, including University President Kevin Brown, Provost Sherry Powers, Mayor of Wilmore and Equestrian Program Founder and Director Harold Rainwater, Chair of the Department of Science and Health and Dean of the School of Science Dr. Vince Sutlive Discussions were held on establishing cooperation. In addition, comprehensive presentations were presented on the academic program, curriculum, teaching, and learning methodology to use the expertise of Asbury University in the academic work of the academy.
On May 27, 2024, they visited the Kentucky Horse Park and Museum of the American Saddlebred Horse, deepening their knowledge of Kentucky's rich equestrian heritage and viewing a variety of equestrian exhibits, awards, accessories and art. This working visit has increased the desire for further cooperation between the two higher education institutions.
At the meeting with the representatives of Asbury University, an agreement was reached on the possibility of sharing experiences in preparing the academic program, curriculum, and teaching methodology, as well as organizing scientific activities, educational conferences, and seminars together with the International horse breeding academy named after Aba Annayev.
The participants of the work visit are interested in developing the equestrian industry in the country, raising the global glory of our horses, which have become the treasure of the Turkmen people, reviving the ancient ways of equestrian art, improving breeding, increasing the number of horses, maintaining close cooperation with foreign countries. They also sincerely expressed their deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, to our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who implement exemplary work in the development of various types of equestrian sports and the training of highly educated specialists for the equestrian industry.
